Could My Lower Left Abdominal Pain When Hungry Or Walking Be Caused By My Kidney Stones?
I have pain in my lower left abdomen when Im very hungry or when I have been walking for long. It is a dull pain that comes in waves. I have kidney stones according to my doctor which was discovered after I pee blood but I have never gotten pain from them (that I know of). Could this be the cause of the pain?
Commonly, it can be caused by gas, bloating, or constipation. You can take antacids, if it is due to gas, your symptoms will go away. Avoid constipation. Take laxatives and take a balanced, home-made diet with natural fiber. Keep yourself well hydrated. Avoid oily, spicy fried food and junk food. Avoid taking packaged and processed food.
Since you have a history of having kidney stones, you are advised to get a follow-up clinical examination done. Get a repeat imaging test (CT and ultrasound) done to see if the stone has changed in size, position, or new stone formation. You can take pain-relieving medications to help relax any spasms in the urinary tract or muscles.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
