Could Pain And Numbness In Left Hand Be Due To Zerodol Tablets?
I found out i have fluid around my heart after having an echo. The doctor gave zerodol tablets so the pain and pressure i was getting in my chest is gone but now my left shoulder up to my neck is giving me this constant pain and my left hand feels numb sometimes, do i need to go back to the doctor or is this a side effect of the tablets?
As your echo showed fluid around the heart this condition is know as pericarditis. It means inflammation of coverings of heart. For this treatment is anti-inflammatory for which your doctor prescribed Zerodol which consists of Diclofenac which is an anti-inflammatory drug which decreases the fluid which has following side effects such as upset stomach, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, gas, headache, drowsiness, and dizziness. However, according to you, you had a pain and pressure radiation to left shoulder and neck which is not a side effect so it is better consult a cardiologist and repeat echo and get further advice.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
