Could Pain In Bladder Be Interstitial Cystitis Or Proteinuria?

I am a 26 year old male with no significant medical history, I began having pain in my bladder which began about five months ago and has since gradually subsided. I was told by a urologist that I saw for the problem that I had interstitial cystitis. I had also noticed hat I had/have been having foamy urine, when I told the urologist this he said that it was nothing to worry about that it was probably caused by the speed of the urine hitting the water. I had researched the topic online and everything that I read about it suggested that it most likely was protienuria. The urologist that I saw had done numerous UA s on me as well as ultrasounds on my kidneys, bladder, ureters etc. which all came back normal. What is your opinion on this should I seek further medical advice/care or just accept what the urologist told me? Please help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If the 24-hour urine protein level indicates fluctuation in the range of more than 4 gm of protein it indicates nephrotic syndrome, while that in the range of 2.5 to 4 gm indicate nephritis syndrome.

Kindly provide me with scanned copies of your report and let me assist you further in this instance.

Drink plenty of liquids till that time to avoid secondary bacterial infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
