Could Pain In Lower Back And Discomfort While Urination After Finishing Course Of Alprim For UTI Indicate Recurred UTI?
Hi, two days ago I finished a three day course of Alprim for a UTI plus IV gent + ampicilin at emergency. Today again experienced pain in the lower back and discomfort urinating, is this another UTI ? what can I do? Alprim gave me itchy skin. Thank you
As per your history, it will be urinary tract infection. You can do urine analysis and urine culture sensitivity test. Ultrasound abdomen and pelvis can be done to diagnose causes of recurrent Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).
Recurrent UTI may be because of: 1) Improper hygiene 2) Bladder stone 3) Recurrent bladder infection 4) Incomplete treatment
You can take syrup Cital 10 ml, tablet Flavoxate after consultation. Keep yourself well hydrated, and maintain proper hygiene. I will suggest you to review here with detailed history or consult with the urologist with reports.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
