Hi,
Welcome to HCM!

It seems like you had an allergic reaction to the dog or its products.
You might take an antihsitaminic like Avil to get relief for now.

It is really impossible to tell whether it will happen again with a new dog. I'd suggest before you buy it, spend some time with the new dog and see if you are having any similar reaction. If not, then you may safely go ahead and but it.

Hope this information helps. Feel free to ask if you have any doubr.

With warm regards,
Dr. Sridhar Reddy
