I have two bruises, similar is size. Bigger than the size of a golf ball. Very speckled pattern. Reds and purples. Almost looks like a sponge pattern. Anyway, I have no idea how I got them. The skin isn t tender or raw and neither is the tissue/muscles under the bruises. I have an auto immune disease that a doctor hasn t been able to completely diagnose (they know I have an auto immune disease from my ANA Titer, but can t figure out which disease). I also have a history with anemia. Should I be concerned?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Let me say one thing not to scare you but to inform you that these symptoms may be due to autoimmune disease. You are perfectly right. But few simple conditions are there for which ana may be raised. Like here if you're a female of middle age then it may be a simple bruising condition where your red cells are getting destroyed due to autoimmunity. Just go for a complete evaluation. Consult a good dermatologist. Good luck. Regards Dr Surajit Gorai MD Dermatology Mail drsgorai@gmail.com Feel free to contact
