Could Redness And Itching In Eyes Be Sinus Related?

My right eye seems very irritated. It is red, itchy and the covering of the white part of the eye seems loose and swollen. I have a bit of a headache... but I think that may be related to my sinus and our weather. Could this allergy related? Should I get some over the counter drops? Thoughts... as it's New Year's Day and I know my doctor is not in his office.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having redness and itching in the eyes. This can be caused by infection or allergy of the eye.
The source of infection can be sinus infection as sinuses lie in a close proximity to the eyes and the eyes can easily be infected from sinus infections.
The treatment of the condition is by use of antibiotic eye drops.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for prescription of drugs.

Thank you
