Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have a mild 35deg scoliosis in the lumber/ lower thoracic region. My spine feels bruised at the apex of the curve in my lower back and on one of the joints as it goes into my kneck. Is this just due to the scoliosis or could there be another reason? Is there a way to stop it feeling bruised? I am 23, 5ft 6 and way circa 125lb.
Scoliosis can cause compression of the nerve roots and similar symptoms. Consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan. Drugs like gabapentin can provide symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
