Could Severe Conjunctivitis Cause High Resting Pulse?
I am a male 32 yrs old. My resting pulse has been very high at 100 (usually 60-70). I have a bad eye infection (conjunctivitis, with lots of swelling, soreness and leakage going down to cheek); am under financial and other stress. Are these causing the high rate or do I need to get tests done?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having high resting pulse. These can be caused by inflammations, infections and stress. Since you are having stress and infection and inflammation like conjunctivitis, these can be caused by these conditions which you are having. If even after the treatment and control of these conditions if the pulse rate continuous to be high then you need to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
