Could Severe Cramping And Light Spotting Indicate Pregnancy In Tubes?

I am on the depo shot. I recently found out that the reason I would never be able to have kids,is because I have alot of scar tissue from a surgery I had when I was 7. I m now 40. But the scar tissue has attached to my female organs. For the past 2 weeks,I ve been cramping real real bad,is it a possibility that I could be pregnant in my tubes? I have light spotting as Well.

Hello,

We can not confirm tubal pregnancy based on this symptoms. You can go for a beta-HCG test to check whether you are pregnant or not. Once the pregnancy test comes as positive you can go for an ultrasound to rule out tubal pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
