Could Sex Toy Reinfect While On Medication For Chlamydia/gonorrhea?

Hi, Recently I got tested for Chlamydia and Gonnerhea because there s a chance I may have gotten it. I took the medication Wednesday to be safe so if I do it is cured earlier. On Thursday, I used a sex toy and than on Friday I used it for 10 seconds but stopped because I thought I could get reinfected if I have it. Would that reinfect me if I have it or would the Medication taken Wednesday prevent that? Thanks Brian

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Gonorrhea and chlamydia are both sexually transmitted infections.
The sex toys that you were using could have caught the infection which you were using before starting the medication.
Thus, it is best to avoid the sex toys till completely clear your infections.
After clearing the infection, avoid using the same sex toys and use barrier method of contraception.
Your partner should also be tested for sexually transmitted infections before you resume your sexual life.

Thanks and take care
