Could Shivers, Cold Feet And Hands While Having IBS Be Intestinal Infection?
I suffer and have been diagnosed with IBS. I have had bloating, gas and abdominal pain for a couple of weeks. last couple of days diarrhea and cannot get warm. Shivers in bed but mostly cold hands and feet. I have an appointment with my Dr. on Monday. Could I have some kind of intestinal infection? Thank you
Any abdominal pathology (appendicitis, cholecystitis, tuberculosis, cystic fibrosis ,leukemia, Addison's disease, plague) may cause chills and hypotension with cold periphery. Other possibilities like cold environment may also cause chills and cold periphery.
Please consult your physician, get scan abdomen with blood investigations and get treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
