Could Slimy Bowel Movements And Kerosene In Water Be Related?

Hello, 5 days ago i added 125ml domestic kerosene to my water tank which is 22,000 litres. Since then I have smelt the fuel when running water and myself and my 2 and 4 yr old children have been experiancing yellow and slimy bowel movements. Is this related? What is treatment?
Thank-you

Hello,

The yellow color stool which you and your children are having is not due to the kerosene added into the water tank, but it could be due to diet.

Still adding the kerosene in the water tank is not advisable because kerosene is very harmful to health. I would advise you to go for the stool test to rule out the possibility of it and it cannot be taken for granted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
