Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a small lump roughly about an inch above my belly button, the lump is about the size of a pea. and when pressed flattens and disappears there is no pain and is not visible. My Gp has said that he can t feel anything so may be a tiny hernia, is there anything else this could be?
It could also be a lipoma, which is a benign collection of fat under the skin. It could also be a lymph node. If it is not bothersome then it may be something that you could observe to see if it changes over time. Be sure to let your Physician know if anything changes.
