Could Smoking Cause Faint Feeling Followed By Passing Out?

Hi there. I have been smoking cigarettes everyday for about 7 years now. Today when I got out of bed to go outside to have a cigarette I only hit it about 3 times and I dropped and passed out. Ive felt faint before when having the first cigarette of the day, but never anything this severe.
