Could Smoking Marijuana In Pregnancy Effect Fetus?

I stopped smoking marijuana 30 days ago. I am currently 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Will the thc from the marijuana be in my babys system? I smoked only because i had lost to much weight and couldnt eat during the beggining and middle of my pregnancy. I smoked everyday, every other day and quit 30 days ago.

Sadly, marijuana can have a serious effect on your fetus's nervous system resulting in various abnormalities in the nervous system (including mental retardation), growth abnormalities like premature birth, low birth weight, abnormalities with lung development, etc.

It is sad that you chose your body weight over the effects marijuana can have on your fetus. Please report to a doctor to check on the current status of your babys growth and development.
