Could Spotting At 4th Week Of Pregnancy Harmful?

My LMP was on 4th Jan 2011. I got an ultrasound done today and the status shows as if it is 4 weeks not 6 weeks as it should have been. Plus there is little clotting. I am not bleeding. My doctor has gien me Susten 200mg cap and Duphaston 10mg tab 2 times daily and Gestone 100mg/2ml injection to be taken for 3 days. Is my baby fine?

1.Yes, it can be harmful to have spotting at 4th week.
2.At 6 weeks your scan shows 4 weeks - its not a good sign if your dates are right.
3.By 5 1/2 weeks by trans vaginal, by 6 1/2 weeks trans abdominal - one has do have fetal pole with cardiac activity.
4.In your case you have not mentioned - if we assume your dates are wrong then the solution will be REPEAT SCAN AFTER 2 WEEKS. which will confirm the viability of pregnancy.
5.At the moment i will not be able to answer your question confidently about - baby fine ??? suggest a repeat scan.
