Could Spotting Be Due To Delayed Periods?

Sorry gonna be long. Here goes...I have been on the depo shot for about close to a year...i missed my shot that was on june 6th cuz me and my husband are ttc. June 17th though the 19th i spotted doc told me to take that as my period. We of course had unprotected sex the first of july. About a week later i started having alot of prego symptoms that are getting worse. (Really tender nipples and breast and they are really swollen or got big real fast, color change and size in nipples also the bumps around it are more pronounced as well as the blue veins around my chest, dizziness, nausea, and cramps, every once in a while my cramps would be really painful especially when i sneeze or go from sitting to standing or stretching, weird tingling feeling in my stomach) almost every prego symtoms you can think of i honestly feel like i did when i was pregnant with my daughter. I have taken numerous urine test and 2 blood test but were negative. And i am guessing they were all done right before my guessing bext period would be. Of course no bleeding yet. Idk if this is symtoms from coming off the depo or could i still be pregnant? Could i even get l pregnant right after stopping? I even have my husband convinced that i am pregnant. I am so confused. And if i am not how can i stop these symtoms they are getting really uncomfortable especially the pain from cramps and my boobs and to be able to concieve quicker? Ans what should i do next? Ive tried to get my doc to do an ultrasound but she said kts not necessary. I just wannabe abke to not stress and obsess anymore like i have been. If i am not ppregnant than something else os going on and i wanna stop it. Thanks in advance for your opinion!

Hi,

Depo injections have a long-acting hormone... which interferes with menstruation and ovulation. This creates hormonal imbalance... which takes 3-6 months to correct after withdrawal of depo shots.

I feel that is the cause for your a sent period & pregnancy like symptoms. ease don't worry. Wait patiently till your periods normalize (The -ve pregnancy tests clearly indicate a sent pregnancy). This is all happening on your body. Do rest cool.

In case the periods do not normalise in 6 months... you should consult a gynecologist to find other causes of a sent menses.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
