Hello, and i hope I can help you today.

Pregnancy symptoms vary widely between women, and nausea, mood changes, breast tenderness, cravings and bloating can occur from hormone fluctuations that occur during an irregular period as well as pregnancy. Furthermore, the most common sign of pregnancy is a missed menstrual period, so if you are not yet late for your period, there is no reason to suspect that you are pregnant.

So if you do not get your next period on time, you should perform a urine pregnancy test. If your pregnancy test is negative, then whatever symptoms you are experience are due to some other cause.

So at this point, I would just wait and see what happens and if you do not get a real period in the next few weeks you should perform a urine pregnancy test. If your test is negative, and you get similar symptoms during multiple menstrual cycles, you may want to discuss a hormonal evaluation with your GYN provider.

I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.

Best wishes,

Dr. Brown
