Could Swelling In Hands Every Morning Indicate Elevation Of BP Overnight?
I've been diagnosed with hypertension. I was on a diuretic for about 6 months, then I was taken off- doctors orders. Fast forward almost 4 years and I wake up EVERY morning with swollen hands. Throughout the day, the swelling goes down. Is this a sign that my BP elevates overnight every night?
It is not a sign of elevated blood pressure at night, you should check your kidney function, if it is normal, then you shouldn't worry. And is you suspect that you have high blood pressure at night, you can have 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring done and find out what is your blood pressure at night.
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
