Hi there.
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
You have suffered from a vasovagal
syncope. This can be due to any kind of triggers which causes slow
heart rate .low blood pressure and resulting in less blood supply to your brain causing
fainting or confusion. This syncope can happen due to variety of reasons like standing up very quickly,Sudden onset of extreme emotions, lack of sleep,
dehydration, hunger, the sight of blood ,any medication and a lot more.So it might not be a
heart disease if you have no other symptom, but i would advise you to still go for an electrocardiogram to rule out any cardiac disease.
And to prevent further syncopes ,when you feel you are going to get one ,you should lie down and raise legs, or at least lower your head to increase blood flow to the brain. If you lost consciousness, ask your wife to lay you down with your head turned to the side. Tight clothing should be loosened.
Hope the explanation helped.Have a good life
