Hi,
I understand your query & your daughters concern.
While your daughter had uterine contractions in 36 weeks of pregnancy, they were su7ccessfully controlled & your doctor advised Tab. Urogestan 100mg twice a day- this was to supplement low supply of hormone progesteron to fetus causing early labor pains & probably low weight of the baby.
This hormone allows full growth of baby & lessens the chances of immature lungs, & so lessens the harm to baby. Please tell her to rest assured about baby & wait for labor pains when baby weight/growth is normal.
Thanks.
