Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Waiting to meet with my ortho. Have a couple questions. I have ACL tear, lateral meniscus, bone spurs and loss of cartilage on my medial side. Can they take out the bone spurs? How long will this surgery take? It is a revision as I have torn ACL , mcl, and meniscus before.
Yes ACL reconstruction and bone spur excision can be done arthroscopically. Also Meniscusinjury can be managed by arthroscopic repair, and same day you can go home. As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion .
Surgery may take between 1 to 2 hour.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
