Could The Burning Sensation On Wrists Be A Result Of Burnt Vessel Or A Clot?
An hour after I awoke this morning, my left wrist started to burn with pain. I had a hair band around that wrist ( I had accidentally slept with it on), so I ripped it off. My inner wrist is swollen and black and blue-exactly where the veins are. The hell-fire burning sensation is like nothing I have ever felt. I did not sustain any injury what-so-ever. I often sleep with my hands over my head or under my pillow (further reducing circulation?). I am terrified it is a burst vessel or a clot. I have been icing it all day- I am afraid that may be the wrong move (further restricting) but I have to! It is flaming! What is going on?
I can understand your concern for the burning sensation on wrists.
I can make out that due to occlusion by rubber band and with obstruction of vessels you got ischemic injury of the hand area.
The only precaution you must follow is not to touch, pinch pop or squeeze any of them other wise it can get infected and can cause complications.
You can take pain killer tablet by mouth such as paracetamol or diclofenac. Keep your hand raised above your heart level. If it is not getting better in next 12- 24 hours then meet a Doctor immediately.
Take care.
