Could The Cramps And Constipation Be Due To A Fall?

My partner fell down the stairs on Saturday, he took Difene 75mg for severe rib pain, he did not pass a bowel movment for 3 days went to the doctor yesterday, she prescribed Dufolac, he has now some relief, but feels cramps when he eats or drinks, his rib is not broken, his bowel is now giving him more trouble, could this be related to the fall or the Difene?. He is not taking them any more

Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query for your partner in details .

* The condition is more in relation with drug induced gastritis and
constipation , rather than related to fall .

* Addition of PPI with Dufolac will help better .
Consume plenty of liquids and allow high fiber diet for faster recovery .

Hope this will help you for sure .
Wishing him fine recovery .

Welcome for any further guidance .
Regards .
