Could The Creaking Feeling In My Middle Knuckle After Punching A Metal Door Be A Sign Of Injury?

Hello, yesterday I got angry and punched the metal door of a bathroom stall in a public washroom. Now today I have very minor pain but when I bend or make a fist my middle knuckle makes a creaking feeling. My knuckle does not appear misshapen or deformed in any way so I m not sure what s causing this.
