Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM. I feel sad to hear that you lost your husband. But, pancreatic cancer is actually a fatal condition. Around 3/4th of the patients die within one year of diagnosis and we actually don't have any treatment for an advanced pancreatic cancer except palliative care. If he was not doing self medication, then also the consequence would have been fatal. But, obviously this is never advisable to have self medication for any medical problem. But, I don't feel you should repent regarding the fact whether he was self-medicated or had over-dosage. Hope you are satisfied with my answer. If you have any further query related to this, please write back. In case you have any new query in future, you can directly ask me questions @ http://www.HealthcareMagic.com/doctors/dr-kaushik-sarkar/68460. I will try my level best to help you. Regards, Dr.Kaushik
