General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Delay in periods can be due to anemia, poor general health condition, weight issues, hormonal issues, thyroid disorder, vitamin B6, B12 deficiency, etc. B12 deficiency is more likely to develop in women who do not consume meat. B12 is important in the formulation of red blood cells. B6, B12 regulate a woman’s menstrual cycles and period flows.

Vitamin B6 helps regulate hormonal imbalances and also helps to regulate the menstrual cycle, which plays an important role in maintaining a healthy fertility rate. Biotin intake will not hinder menstrual flow rather help it. If sexually active, get clinically examined, get pregnancy tests done to rule out pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy. Take food rich in iron and protein. Take B6 , B12 rich food to have regular periods. Improve your general health condition. Maintain healthy weight.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
