Could The Intake Of Microgynon 30 Makes You Feel Sick?

My 14 year old daughter has been prescribed Microgynon 30 to help with her heavy periods (she has had periods since she was 10 1/2) and has just started her fourth month. Although her periods are now less heavy, only lasting 3 days instead of 7 - she has been feeling constantly sick, especially in the morning. This is getting her down and she has had a number of days of school because of this. Should I go back to our doctor and see whether we could change the tablets? Surely not all these tablets make you feel sick?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes, these pills can have side effects of nausea and vomiting due to a hormone imbalance that results from their intake. Please visit your doctor for the same who will either prescribe medication to deal with the symptoms or replace the pill altogether.

Hppe this helps.

Best wishes.
