Could The N=mild Fever, Stomach Ache And Sore Limbs Be Due To Mirena Coil?

I had Merina inserted about 2 months ago. Everything was completely normal at my check up 6 weeks later. The merina is still in place, as I can feel it. But the past two weeks I ve had a mild fever, stomache ache, achy limbs and very watery stool. This started a week ago and I thought it was something I ate. After a few days I was fine. Then just two days ago from today I have the same symptoms. Is this a merina complication? I ve also had some cramping.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

Mirena unlikely to cause loose stools although it can cause low-grade fever and low abdominal pain.

In my opinion visiting a doctor should be the first thing as this can be sexually transmitted infection provided you are sexually active.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashok Kumar, Psychiatrist
