Could The Pain I Experience After Smoking Weed Be A Sign Of CHS?
Hello, 28 year old male - I was smoking weed for about 5 years straight heavily & about 3 monthe ago when I would smoke weed, I would have pain in multiple areas of my ribs on the left side ‘ a shooting pain up my back into my shoulderblade. I only have this pain when smoking weed. I have recently quit (about 2 months ago) & do not experience the pain when I dont smoke. Could this be CHS cause my weed use? Mostly wanting to confirm this is not a sign of lung cancer. I have had many tests, my lubgs listenee to etc. which all came back normal.
The symptoms exhibited by you, do not look like CHS. The symptoms of CHS are generally nausea, severe vomiting and abdominal pain. The symptoms perceived by you pertain to chest, which is not a symptom of CHS. These may be related to some lung or heart condition. Your symptoms may be just psychological related to phobia of lung cancer etc. The only symptom which is pointing towards CHS is that the pain stops after stopping use of weed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
