Hello and welcome to HCM, In order to know whether the problem that you are suffering from is due to myelofibrosis or some other disorder, you need to get a bone marrowbiopsy done. In this investigation, a piece of bone is taken out, is processed and examined to look for any abnormality or disease. I am not sure (not clear in your report) whether a bone marrow biopsy has been done or not, however, if it has been proven to be myelofibrosis on bone biopsy, you need to take treatment for myelofibrosis. Steroids are the mainstay of treatment for myelofibrosis and thus you will need to take steroids only. Consult your hematologists for further work up.
