Could The Pimples On My Penis Shaft And Tip Be Ingrown Hairs From Shaving?

Hello, I have pimples on my penis shaft and only 2 on my tip, by few days the pimples on the tip got much better and barely can be seen by macro camera, shaft pimples got smaller and less red after few days but got a new one today, it all happened after shaving with body groomer, I shaved once and then shaved again after 2 days, pimples are liie a bot white or off white and the new one is red and like one hair coming out of it, one of the shaft pimple got really dry and was easy to swipe it with my finger and got removed, was thinking to use Fucidin and apply it on my penis, I believe it might be ingrown hair or so as after I shaved I went to the gym, I go to the gym alot, sweat a lot plus I have oily skin, don t know if it s an STD as I only use condom and last time was like nearly 2 months ago plus I rarely have sex and I don t have any other symptoms, what do you think? Please help

Hello,

Since you use condoms consistently and sex was 2 months ago, no neither have sex too often and have no symptoms like burning, discharge, ulcers, etc. reduces the chance of an STD like herpes, syphilis, or HPV. However, perform safe sex always and avoid multiple partners. You get pimples shortly after shaving, meaning shaving is a trigger. Be hygienic and gentle with yourself.

The appearance of white or off-white pimples, some with hairs in them, is a classic sign of ingrown hairs or mild folliculitis. Dried and flaked off also supports a healing ingrown hair or clogged follicle. The penile shaft and tip both can develop pimples due to friction, sweat, and shaving.

Keep your private area clean and dry. Yes, you can apply antibacterial ointment like Fucidin to the area affected. Take regular baths, and change your clothing regularly. Sweating at the gym, shaving multiple times in a short period can increase the risk. If the symptoms are recurrent or increasing, you can get an STD test done to stay on the safer side.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
