Could The Scarring Seen In The CXR Be Due To Exposure To Asbestos?

I was exposed to asbestos in July 2013 for approx. 30min. I had a mask on for about 20 min of that time….Since then I have had chest pains on and off…Less frequently lately…Bloated stomach. All the doctors I went to previously said I would not be feeling any symptoms so soon if ever do from short exposure. I had CXR,EKG…PFT’s..in November..All were clear..I have been since September unable to take a deep breath at times…I went back to pulmonologist and he sent me for an CXR..The receptionist called me and said there is some scarring ….Could this scaring be from exposure…Will it get worse….The pulmonologist is calling me tomorrow to discuss....I’m very scared….

only thirty minute exposure wouldnt cause you a scarring in your cxr. but scarring may be from many reason. it may be tuberculosis, fibrosis, histoplasmosis. and many more. but you have to explain about each and everything than and than we can help you. but this is not the asbestosis as if you are worrying.
