I am female, 46 years old, 55 kg. I took general check up 2 months ago. it revealed that i have elongated aorta. sometimes i have short breath but have no complaint besides that. what is the cause of elongated aorta? what is the worst thing. What causes elongated aorta? what is the worst conditions caused by elongated aorta? should see a doctor
Hi, Certain genetic causes, such as Marfan syndrome and congenital bicuspid aortic valve disease, are well known of aneurysm and elongated aorta. Woast condition caused by it is aortic rupture and death. yes you shouls see a cardiologist , seeing your scan reports he will decide you whether to keep you on medical management or surgery needs to be done, it depends on finding of your CT and 2 d echo.
