I feel as if my clitoris is always stimulated. Even when I m not in the mood at all. It s super annoying and it s gotten to the point where it keeps me up at night. This has been going on for awhile, I m just curious if this is something serious. Also, the other day it was happening and I could feel it going down the nerve of my leg. Could it be a nerve issue?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern, Apart from physical/ psychological stimulation, some infection causing itching / irritation of nerve supplying the clitoris.( indicated by conduction of same of the pain down the leg ). can cause constant stimulation of clitoris. The nerve irritation/ pinching / compression can be at lumber spinal level/ at sciatic notch / hip joint. This needs orthopedic surgeon's consultation/ x ray or MRI spine/ hip to locate site of problem followed by specific treatment.. Thanks.
