Could The Suspicious Opacities In The Right Upper Lung On My Chest X-ray Indicate A Serious Condition?

chest pa suspicious opacities are seen in the right upper kung, partially superimposed upon the osseous structures. The rest of the lungs are clear. Heart is not enlarged. Hemi diaphragm and Costco phrenic sulci are intact. The rest of the findings are unremarkable.

Hi,

Definitely, these opacities may be due to numerous causes- infective, inflammatory or even cancerous growth. Hence, these should be tested for finding a definite cause and treatment accordingly, if indicated. In these cases, even a biopsy of the lesion may also be necessary to reach at a final diagnosis.
