Could The Swelling In Cheeks Be Due To Lump?

hi! my mother showed my her cheek today and it was swollen as if she has an abscess on the right side of her face. she said that it felt like she had a cut in her mouth yesterday and that today/this morning is when she noticed the swelling. I asked her to let me see inside and near the buccal side of the 2nd molar on the cheek, she has a small white ulcer looking lesion.

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You may have some infection in your salivary gland. It may be acute abscess forming infection or chronic infection. You should go for a course of antibiotics. If your lump doesn't respond to treatment then you should go for fine needle aspiration cytology. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
