Could The Swelling In Legs And Feet Be Due To Adderall?
I have taken Adderall on and off for a few years and never had any symptoms from it before. I just went back on it a month ago and just about a week ago my feet and legs started swelling and are still slightly swollen when I wake to only progressively enlarge through the day. Could this be from my Adderall? Please note I am an insulin dependent diabetic.
Hello Thank you for asking the question. You are on treatment of drug adderall which is used in treatment of narcolepsy and ADHD disorder. Side effect of adderall are mainly nausea, insomnia, headache, etc. There is no side effect like swelling of legs. As per your description you are a patient of IDDM. In diabetes mellitus common complication is kidney damage. In kidney disease there is damage to filtration membrane leads to loss of protein albumin. So possibility of edema is due to low albumin. So my advice is consult a doctor and do a kidney test to detect blood and urinary albumin level. Hope this will helpful to you.
