Could The Swelling In Thumb Be Due To Tear In Navicular Bone?

Recently last year in nov. I was in the third floor at school I was walking to the stairs n I opened the door for a girl that was walking behind me n then the door came so fast that my thumb got stuck between the handle and I found my thumb stuck between it so I was freaking out so I tried to take my thumb out but I couldnt so then the bell rang so I freaked out some more and I just pulled my thumb with so much force n I as free at last. So I looked at my thumb n it was all purple and red. So then I asked the sub to go to the nurse she said it's a possible break. Then went to the doctor a couple days later n before my x ray the doctor said that she was worried about my navicular bone n the results showed nothing now it's fen n the bone under my thumb n I'm guessing it's the navicular bone n my thumbs been swollen since n now my thumb is more swollen I fell in my hand in gym but it didn't bother me till now. My question is should i go to the doctor because I don't want to feel like i went for no reason.
