Could The Swollen Breasts, Cramping And Fatigue Be Due To Pregnancy?

hi, I ve been on birth control since i was 16 (am now 22). I don t take it at the same time everyday and this last month i missed two of my pills. My period is expected to be on Tuesday. However, I am experiencing really weird symptoms. Senstive swollen breasts, nausea, cramping, fatigue, sensitivity to certain foods. I usually never experience cramping until the day my period starts, and i have had sensitive or swollen breasts since i was probably about 14. Does it sound like a bug or does it sound like i m pregnant?

Hi,

If you have missed two pills in a row and did not make up for them, your cycle is no longer protected.

Hence, you have to get tested to clarify. You can either go for the blood test now or get the HPT 3-7 days later in case you miss the next period. Further management can be planned accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shanti Vennam, OBGYN
