Could The Tonsil Infection Be Due To STD?

After performing oral sex on my boyfriend i started to get pain and white patches on my tonsils I went to the doctor and they did a swab test and it came back negative for bacterial infection however it s viral I was wondering could it be an STD on my tonsils or could it be mono?

Throat or tonsil infections can be transmitted as STD.
Oral sex can transmit certain disease.
But they are mainly bacterial.
Please consult your ENT surgeon for further examinations, test and treatmrnts.
