Could The Yellow Hair Growing In The Pubic Region Be Due To Trichomycosis Pubis?

I discovered a few days ago that I have some spongy yellow hairs growing in my pubic region, and it seems to me that this is Trichomycosis Pubis. However, I discovered this because I was looking at a "pimple" looking spot on the underside of my penis close to where it meets the scrotum. This worried me as being an STD since I had unprotected sex 7 days beforehand. I went to see if it were an ingrown hair, and after some digging I found a hair and removed it 2 days ago. The swelling has almost entirely gone away from the spot, but is still red. I believe that this was either caused by Trichomycosis Pubis or just ingrown by coincidence. But I am still worried that this may be an STD that happened to create an ingrown hair (such as herpes, etc.). I have been very worried about this and I am seeing the doctor on Monday. However, I do not have any symptoms of herpes (such as urinary discharge, other spots appearing, flu or fever symptoms, etc.) Does anyone have any insight on what may be happening? I would greatly appreciate it!
