Could Thyroid Problem Be The Reason For Memory Loss?
I am having a lot of problems with my memory- I am 66, and otherwise in great health, but I am having trouble focusing, remembering, and am getting very frustrated. I have low B12, had injections, which did not help, low in D3, and now am wondering if my thyroid may be to blame for the memory issue.
Welcome to HCM: You correct about the reasoning. Please note that thyroid disease has been directly linked to memory loss and memory fatigue. In fact this is one of the workup that is performed when the patient presents with memory loss or even fainting. Low TSH especially will cause memory lapses. I'll therefore make sure that you TSH/free T4 is in order. Good luck.
