Could Tiredness And Pain In Leg Be Due To Multiple Follicles In Ovaries?
I am trying to figure out what is going on.. My periods last 3 - weeks at a time, extremely painful all the way down my legs and heavy.. Estrogen levels are normal and all tests are normal. My doctor said I have multiple small follicles on both ovaries but she never explained if that is good.. I m always tired and in pain and have been dealing with this for a few years now, I sound crazy because my results are always normal, I don t want my doctor to think I m a hypocondriac.
Menstrual periods with heavy flow and severe pain can be seen in conditions like: - Structural causes like fibroid uterus, adenomyosis, endometriosis etc. - Multiple small follicles in ovaries can be seen in conditions like poly cystic ovary disease, which can present with excessive menstrual flow sometimes - Pelvic infection can present with painful and heavy menstrual flow.
So, according to your history as all of your tests are normal, the possibility of structural causes are less. You may need to start treatment for PCOD with your doctor's advice which can help to normalize the menstrual flow. Anti fibrinolytic drugs can help to decrease the bleeding in general.
Clinical examination and pap smear test can help to find out the possibility of pelvic infection and treatment can be taken accordingly.
