Could Undergoing Surgery 12 Days After Half A Pill Of Ecstacy Prove Harmful?
I took half a tablet of extacy for the first time In My life last weekend. I didn t combine it with Any alcohol at all. I am undergoing general Anasthetic in twelve days from when I took it. Is there any danger in me undergoing Surgery 12 days after half à pill of ecstacy?Thankful for your help!
You should be fine as the ecstasy would mostly be out of your system by then. The half life of ecstasy is estimated to be 16-31 hours. At 12 days, more than 8 half lives would have passed and the dose would mostly be metabolized and excreted from your body by then. As usual, a doctor's advice would be to not use MDMA in the future as you don't know what is actually in the pill.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Timothy Wong, General & Family Physician
