Could Urethral Irritation, Frequent Urge To Urinate, And Tingling In The Urethra Be Due To A UTI Recurrence Despite Starting Amoxicillin?
HI DOCTOR !! I AM 36 YEAR MALE & LAST YEAR DIGNOSED WITH UTI ECOLI. I HAD FINISHED MY DOSE LAST YEAR BUT IT TOOK APPROX 5 MONTHS TO GET RID-OFF ALL SYMPTOMS . BUT NOW SUDDENLY I FEEL SAME SYMPTOMS . LIKE IRRETATION IN URETHARA , URGE TO URINE LITTLE BIT , BUT NO PAIN DURING URINE OR AFTER URINE . IT LEELES LIKE THERE IS A TINGLING FEELING IN URETHARA . I AM ON AMOXICILLIN 500MG THREE TIME A DAY AS SUGGESTED BY DOCTOR FROM YESTERDAY. BUT CAN YOU SUGGEST WHAT EXACTLY IT IS .
Recurrent UTI is commonly due to poor hygiene, blockage in the urinary tract can make you prone to infection. Other conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or cystitis, prostatitis can also obstruct urine flow, leading to infections. Sexual intercourse also leads to UTI. Get clinically examined by a GP to detect any underlying medical condition mentioned above that is causing you symptoms and discomfort.
In the meantime, get urinalysis (R/E & C/S) done so that you may be able to take specific medicines that will treat the cause more efficiently. Take plenty of water, take care of your hygiene.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
