Could Urinary Incontinence Be The Sign Of Cauda Equina?
I'm wondering if my urinary incontinence could be a sign of cauda equina. It is intermittend-- only happened maybe 10 times in 6 weeks. I have problems at L5-S1. Sometimes my feet go to "sleep" and I have tingling in my legs. MRI says there is "potential" for nerve impingement.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* As the MRI report is suggestive of only potential, urinary incontinence is not exclusive sign of cauda equina till now.
* I would like to evaluate physical signs through detailed sensory motor examination along with uroflowmetry, urine culture and other parameters evaluation for final line of treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
