Could Watering Eye With Slight Fim Of Mucousy Stuff With History Of Dry Eye Be Concerning?

Hi my left eye keeps watering and gets a slight film of mucousy stuff over it, is tender and hurts abit, I do have dry eye and take drops for this but this is different, I am just recovering from a bad virus as well, being in bed for the last week and on antibiotics, could this be related? I want to go back to work next week, is there something I can do to help my eye, what is it? Thank you Tina.

You are having conjunctivitis. You had virus infection and have taken antibiotic. Antibiotic was not required in virus infection. Your imunity was at low level.St op antibiotic drop. Continue with artificial tear and vit C tablet. You should recover slowly. If you do not recover, get your eye examined by an eye doctor for advice.
