Could Wearing The Sweaty Gloves Of Other Person Harmful?
recently started working out again after an injury left me pretty inactive over the last year and a half. I went pretty moderate over the first three times back mixing cardio with a some weights. Some obvious soreness came with my new venture. After a few days i noticed some armpit pain which i dismissed to be tenderness from working out. I then noticed bumps in the skin under both armpits. The pain worsened and after the second day i woke up in the night freezing with chills. took some pain reliever.(Acetaminophen) and went back to sleep only to wake up sweating like crazy a few hours later. the armpit pain has lessened in the three days since but still dont feel great. Also not the first time i have had bumps in that area and last time i recall having them was similar in terms of they were post workout. but i have woken up with chills in the past more than once after going to bed feeling fine and feeling fine the next morining. And just to add a bit more detail. the bumps under my armpits are aprox two per side and are redish... if that helps... now, i understand swollen nodes in the pits can be caused from many things but the mind does wander into more severe territory. My last night at the gym before i felt this way as much as i hate to admit it, i used a public pair of boxing glovesw with no handwraps. Meaning who ever used them before me my hand were in a stagnent sweaty pair of gloves with possible open scratches on them... maybe im paranoid or maybe i might have a point....

General & Family Physician, Dr. Anand M I's Response
hello dont be worried, there is nothing much related to using sweating gloves that can be related to your symptoms. as a matter of precautions, avoid using them the next time. as far as your symptoms are concerned, they in most conditions, are temporary. they should reduce gradually. if in case they dont reduce, then, do consult a physician
